




Merritt successfully resolved numerous leaks beneath several roof levels without disruption to daily hospital operations. Performed Local Law 11/98 Inspections at 10 buildings and full Roof Replacement at the Baird Building and Bernstein Building.
Merritt designed and administered full façade, roof and garage restoration projects and completed Local Law 11/98 Façade Inspections, while ensuring that construction did not interrupt noise sensitive OR operations.
Over the past 15 years Merritt Engineering has provided various services including Local Law 11/98 façade inspections of eight buildings and provided both specifications and construction monitoring for masonry restoration at seven prewar and postwar buildings. The scope of work was established based on the findings from the Local law 11-98 inspections.Merritt also specified and monitored ceiling repairs due to a stem leak.
Merritt Engineering prepared specifications and provided construction monitoring for facade restoration of two buildings (one of which was over 100 years old) including roof repairs and extensive steel beam replacement. While monitoring the façade restoration, Merritt also provided emergency inspection and consultation services. Merritt also conducted Local Law 11/98 Inspections at three buildings.
Weill Cornell Medical College, one of the most well-known and highest rated clinical and medical research centers in the country, retained Merritt Engineering to restore the building’s 6th floor roof and waterproof the exterior plaza.
Merritt Engineering completed the roof replacement at two buildings, with extensive quarry tile removal on one and complex roof top equipment flashing at the other.
